Get to know the GidzyGals and see how our happy little crochet world came to be.
GidzyStitch was conceived out of a shared love for crochet discovered when one of the youngest Guidroz girls decided she wanted to learn her grandmother's craft. Her passion spread like wildfire and now our entire home is filled with beautiful yarn craft and fiber art and we're dedicated to this hobby that can continue to be passed down for many generations to come.
Hi, I'm Shaunda Guidroz and I'm the aunt of the family. When my niece and sis-in-love started to learn, I finally stopped resisting yarn craft. So far, my WIPs include blankets but I look forward to teaching new stitches as I learn. Happy crocheting!
Hi, I'm "Grammy" Beth Guidroz. I've been crocheting for *** years, and I guess I'm considered the pro of our household. My favorite thing to make is baby blankets, which works out well since I have five beautiful grandchildren. My latest WIP is a 3-D blanket for my Emmie, where a backyard scene of butterflies and sunshine jumps off the blanket. Pattern coming soon? We'll see!
Hi, I'm Emily Guidroz. I am seven years old and I wanted my Grammy to teach me to crochet. My mom told me I couldn't learn anything else until I made a ten foot chain, so I did. Now I'm learning to single crochet. After I learn doubles, I'm going to knit my big sis a scarf and some socks. I also want to start a YouTube channel where I show other kids how to crochet. Stay tuned for GidzyStitch Kids!
Hi, I'm Anna Guidroz. I learned to crochet from my own grandmother as a child. My passion was reignited when my daughter asked to learn Grammy's craft. After a brief refresher and teaching Emmie to chain, I was hooked (pun intended) yet again. I most enjoy creating sweaters and children's clothing and figuring out and creating complex patterns. I favor Alpaca yarn and natural fibers and my family no longer travels without mapping out all of the most unique yarn stores.
